The Pink Lake – Hutt Lagoon, is a wide expanse of pink sea caused by the naturally occurring algae ‘Dunaliella Salina’ which produces the orange-red colouring pigment called ‘Beta Carotene’. Depending on the weather, the lagoon changes colour from light pink to a darker pink, sometimes even lilac and a deep purple.
Have you taken some great shots of the Pink Lake, Port Gregory or the surrounding area?
